This movie is so unrealistic.

No woman would let her husband turn their home into a toy train station that looks like a steroid version of the one on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

Never mind the attempts at lip-synching that don't actually count as "attempts"--seriously, no nit-picking--never mind those.

There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with this movie--nothing at all that shaving about an hour off of the interminable running time wouldn't solve.

Going the Distance

It's so rare when something that can be called a "romantic comedy" actually turns out to be funny.

Jennifer Aniston could absolutely never pull this off.

Knight and Day

You could hate this movie for the dead-stupid name, but that wouldn't be fair.

The biggest problem with the film is not that there's something to hate about it, but rather that there's nothing to actually really like about it.

El Secreto de Sus Ojos / The Secret in Their Eyes

If you go to the movies a lot, there comes a point when the great films come as surprises.

This film is a huge surprise, weaving together mystery, sadness, comedy, and so many other elements in pleasing and unexpected ways.

What in less-talented hands could easily have been a Lifetime movie of the week material here becomes a work which is at turns hilarious & gripping, and well-done throughout.

Worth driving way out of the way to see--which is what you'll likely have to do.

Love Aaj Kal

Couple doesn't fully realize what they had until they end it and move to separate continents.

At least they threw a hella cool breakup party first!

500 Days of Summer

Summer is hot & overpowering & life-changing--but of course, not here to stay.

It's fleeting, but well worth seeing--a movie this well-written, directed & acted is a rare thing (and a great thing) to see.
