The Guilt Trip

Too benign & generic to hate, too benign & generic to really bother with at all.

The real point of the film that sticks with me is the "movie math" that casts an actress over 70 as a woman in her early 50s-- very distracting!

For a Good Time Call...

I saw many comparisons of this film to Bridesmaids, which makes no sense as that movie was a comedy.

The only laugh I got from this thing was the fact that it played at Sundance.

Gets the balance between comedy and drama just right, walking that tightrope with ease.

The bad news is, this could create more hypochondriacs than Contagion.

Kung Fu Panda 2

While largely enjoyable, the sequel is less fun & more violent than the original, and the slight design changes leave some of the characters looking at times maquette-ish.

The movie's very final moment leaves things wide open for yet another sequel--a very unnecessary sequel.

The references to science fiction flicks come at the viewer fast & furious-- and I'm sure I missed half of them.

It's a fanboy comedy, to be certain, but I wouldn't consider it just for the fanboys.

The Green Hornet

I really liked it; I think most superhero movies would be better if they'd display this kind of wit.

If there's anything I'd add for future chapters, it would be restraint.
