Hotel Transylvania

Not a bad movie--though certainly not a great one--I guess I'm just happy to watch an animated movie that is not yet another Dreamworks or Pixar retread-sequel.

I couldn't tell from listening that Adam Sandler was the lead, so major points for that.

Grown Ups

Not too bad, once it got over the initial few minutes of middle-aged men making fat jokes at one another (without apparent benefit of a comedy writer).

The fact is, the movie itself coulda lost a few pounds--it was overlong, sporting a paunch in the form of a useless plot addition.

Saint John of Las Vegas

Steve Buscemi has a gnawing gambling addiction, and to make matters worse-- he's sweet on Sarah Silverman.

Funny bits build up to a "what just happened, & why" ending.
